It’s time to say good bye to back home and say good bye to Chiang Rai. I have same plane with Tivani, but just until Bangkok. Our plane is take off at 15.50, and about 1 am Ms. Nok already pick us up to the airport. So, thank you Chiang Rai and good bye_

So, today is the last day in Chiang Rai. Today we should present about what we’ve do and learn in our school. I have prepare a video for it. But before the presentation, we have closing ceremony. In the closing ceremony, the President of CRRU gives us certificate and a t-shirt. And after we take some picture, we move to another room and start the presentation. In the afternoon, after the presentation we take some pictures for the last time.

Today is time to move to CRRU. This morning Ms. Ding and Ms. Pirun take us to meet the Director of tesaban 6 for farewell. The Director give us jacket and one big doll. In CRRU we meet again with another SEA Teacher student. And we also have an activity with students of CRRU. We share about many thing, and they also teach me how to write my name in braille word. We also have another activity in the park. We play some games and look around the park.

So, today is my last day in tesaban 6, and also my last day for teaching here. I have class in M 1.14 and M 1.12. Today Darron is not coming so, he will not watch over me while I’m teaching. The topic that I teach is about Saturday morning. I give them task to write what they usually do in their Saturday. Cause this day is my last day, so I give them keychain for 15 who finish their task. Then after the class I ask them to take picture together with me. I also give 15 keychain for M 1.12, and ask them to take picture together with me after class. After I finish my class, then I go back to my room to package my stuff cause tomorrow we will move to CRRU again.

Actually today I have class to teach, but today they’re celebrating the Chinese New Year so there is no class for today. Yesterday I ask Mint‘s help to accompany me to find present to Darron and Gitta. She was said that she will free in the afternoon. So, about 4 pm I wait her while wash my clothes. But then she’s text me that she’ll pick me up at 7 pm. Then I continue to wash my clothes while wait her. Then about 7 pm she’s arrive in my school with her two friends, Pong and Kat. First, we go to the night bazar, but I don’t found anything for Darron and Gita. But there, interest with bracelet. I really want to buy it but the price is expensive, it is 100 baht for one bracelet. Cause I don’t found anything to Darron and Gita, then Mint take me to walking street. But we stop cause we found kind of shop that they sell a souvenir. In that shop I found something good for Gita. Then we go to walking street to buy some bracelet, after the walking street we go to shop

Today is my 22 nd day in Chiang Rai, and I still have a class to teach today. I have M 1.11 but the class start at 13.30. In the morning Ms. Ding take me and Winthrop to White Temple. Actually it’s my second time cause yesterday I already visit White Temple. There, I just wait in the café with Ms. Ding, and I’m not join Winthrop to the temple. I ask Ms. Ding to take me to Central Plaza to exchange my money cause I’m already out of baht. Then we back to the school again after lunch because I have class to teach today. Actually I have two periods to teach, but the student ask me to teach only one period cause they have to prepare the Chinese New Year. So I use the one period to present their homework. In the previous meeting I give them homework to draw their family and give descriptions. But some of them do not do their homework. So I keep ask them to describe their family to the class. Yesterday I was felling unwell, but today I feel better. Today is my 5 th day teaching. I have class in M 1.12 in the morning and M 1.13 in the afternoon. But I only teach M 1.12 cause Ms. Pirun will take me and Winthrop to Singha Park. Then after lunch, Ms. Pirun take me and Winthrop to  Singha Park. Actually we want to look around with shuttle bus, but the shuttle bus is unavailable. So we just take walk and take some picture there. Ms. Pirun is not coming with us, but she just wait in cafe. When we already tired, we find Ms. Pirun in the cafe. There I buy a doll and a t-shirt. I thought we just gonna back home, but Ms. Pirun take us to tea field. And about 4 pm we just go back to school. In the Saturday I just sleep all day cause I feeling unwell again. In Sunday I still felling unwell but I’m getting better in the afternoon. Today mint will take me to White Temple. She says she will pick me up about 1 pm, but she pick me up about 3 pm.

3 rd  day  teaching Today Darron have one class in M 3.7 in the morning, but I’m not join his class cause I have something to do. And I have class after lunch in M 1.14 and after that I have M 1.12. For these two classes, they have same topic to teach. The topic is about Saturday morning. So first I read them a story. And for the practice, I give them task to complete sentences from the story that I have read for them. After that task, I give them task again to write about what they usually do in their Saturday. Because they only have one period, so I ask them to finish it as homework, and they must read it to the class for the next class. 4 th day teaching Today Darron is not coming to school, so he’s not watchs me while I’m teaching. This is my first day of my teaching. Today I have two periods in M 1.11 and it start at 13.30 after lunch. The material is about History of place names. First I explain about the meaning of town names, then I ask the student to match the names of the town with the meaning. And in the end I ask them to pick one of the town and draw how the town looks like. So, they should guess how the town looks like. In my first time teaching, some of my students are mess around and I can’t handle the class. After the class, Darron tell me that I need to speak louder cause the students in the back can’t hear me, and I also I need to write more clear. Second day teaching In my second day of my teaching, I have class in M 1.13 in the morning. It is two periods, and what I teach is about describing people. This is my second weekend in Chiang Rai, but I still don’t have any plan for my weekend. So in the morning I just stay in my room, just like previous weekend. Actually yesterday I ask Gita to accompany me to find a keyboard. And in the evening we go to the Big C. Big C is kind of supermarket. In the Big C we don’t found the keyboard that I want, but we found a bag. It’s quite cheap, just about 800 baht. I really want to buy a new bag cause my bag was broken, but not for today. Cause we don’t found the keyboard, we move to the Central Plaza. It is not so far from Big C. in the Central Plaza I see cheap mouse pad and I decide to buy it, but I forget about the price. Then after we look around, finally I found my keyboard. I also found a good thing. There is D.Va mouse pad, and the price is 890 baht. I really want it but it is expensive for a mouse pad. Today I’m still as a teacher assistant just like previous day, and tomorrow is the last day as a teacher assistant. But today there is student council election, so there is no class in the morning until after lunch. And after lunch we have class in M 1.11 and M 3.5. After the class Gita text me that she wants to go somewhere, and she ask me am I want to join. Then I said yes, and about 5 pm she and her friend pick me up. I don’t know where we heading, but I think it’s far from the school. And finally we stop in a carnival. It just same like another carnival, there are food, chlotes and some games. First we try a game and if we win we can have a big doll. The rule is we should hit the yellow thing with a ball but we can’t drop the purple thing. We must pay 20 baht for it, and we have two chances to throw. But I don’t get anything cause in the first throw I miss it and for the second throw I drop the purple thing. Today is the third day as a teacher assistant, and I join Ms. Angelica’s class. She has class in M 1.1 this morning, and she teach about prepositions. Actually I should be her teacher assistant but she says that she don't need it, so I just observe her class. I only once join her class, cause after lunch I’m go in Darron’s Class. He has M 1.14 and M 1.12 after that. Before his class, he tells me that for Monday I should start to teach M 1.11. And the material is about History of place names. He also gives me an example of lesson plan. The lesson plan is different with Indonesia lesson plan. The lesson plain is quite simple, it just contains teacher activity, student activity, time and the property that we use in teaching. Then after Darron’s class, I go back to my room and start to create lesson plan for Monday.

Base on schedule,  January 29 to February 2 is where we should try to create our lesson plan and as a teacher assistant. Today is my first day as a teacher assistant. Darron has two classes today, and I join all his class. He has one period in M 3.5 in the morning, and two periods in M 1.11 after lunch. Darron’s class is always fun. He know that the student like to draw something, so he always ask to draw, like when he teach about describing people, he ask the students to draw their family and give the description. And I like his style in teaching.   For the next day, or the second day as teacher assistant, I join Darron’s class again. This day he has three classes. He has two periods in M 1.13 at 8.30 to 10.10 am, and after lunch he has one period in M 3.8 and M 3.6.

Today is the second day of the observation. Today I join Anne’s class. Anne have different way in teaching than Darron. She always give free time to the student when the have finish their task, or sometimes playing games with the students. Actually today is the last observation and this is my first weekend, but I don’t have any plan in the Saturday and Sunday. Then I just stay in my room with my laptop. I try the WIFI in my room and I just realize that it’s quite fast. It is about 3.6 mbps. That’s good cause the speed of my SIM card only 1 mbps. So I use the WIFI to download some games in steam. So my first weekend just stay in my room without going anywhere, and playing games with my laptop.

The observation day is start today. But actually in the schedule, it’s start at January 23 but we just move to the school at 24, so we just can start the observation this day. I just join some class and learn how they teach here. This is my mentor, Darron Charlesworth. He is from Australia and he is teacher in English Program. I like the way he teach because his students always happy when he teach. Yesterday I was asked Gita to accompany me to find an internet SIM card. Because my SIM card that I buy in the airport is only active for 5 days. Then she said that she’ll free in the evening. Then about 5 pm she’s pick me up. The first place is already closed, but the place is near with the Flower Festival. So we decide to go to the Festival and take some picture before we go to find the SIM card. After take some picture and look around the Festival, we continue to find the SIM card. Finally we found it. I said that I

This day is time to move to school. Actually we’ve already told about our school in the previous day. So, I already know that I have to move to Chiang Rai Municipality School 6, or Tesaban 6. I also still have same roommate, Winthrop. Number three from right is Ms. Ding, and number two from right is Ms. Pirun. After the Director welcome us, Ms. Ding and Ms. Pirun take us to Jamjuree Building. This building is the place where we must stay. And I got one room with Winthrop in the second floor. After we put our stuff Ms. Ding and Ms. Pirun take us around the school. In the evening Ms. Ding said that she want to take us to the place where we can buy some food or something near with the school, but she’s cancel it cause she has something to do. Then me and Winthrop decide to go out to find place where we can eat. We found nice place near with the school. It’s kind of restaurant named River of Summer. The restaurant is quite small but it’s really nice

Second day is the orientation day in CRRU. At about 9 am we are already in the kind of meeting room in the CRRU. There is the president of CRRU gives some speech and after that he gives us an ID card and take picture with us one by one. In the back of our ID card there is our Thai name. My Thai name is Sasin, and they said that it's means moon. After break we meet CRRU students who will be our buddy. So we must pick a paper which there is a name of the buddy. So there I got Mint as my buddy. This is Mint And after that we go to tour around CRRU. It is really great I think cause CRRU is really wide and beautiful University. Then I got text from Gita that she will take me to walking street near with the university. After the orientation, I just go back to the hotel, change my clothes and wait for Gita. Hi, my name is Erik Candra Pamungkas, I'm student from University of PGRI Yogyakarta who sent to Chiang Rai specialy in Chiang Rai Rajabhat University to join SEA-Teacher program. So this blog is about my experiencs in Chiang Rai, and for my first post is about my first day in Chiang Rai. My first day in Chiang Rai was started when I was reach the airport at January 22 2018.  I was really excited, but I got a bad thing cause I found my bag was broken and I lost one wheel of it. I’m not really worried about it cause I'm not lost any of my stuff in my bag. Then Ms. Nok pick me up and take me to the C&C hotel near with the CRRU. In the hotel I meet my roommate Winthrop Reola. He is from Philippines. I was really tired that time, then I decide to sleep. But Winthrop wake me up cause there is someone want to meet me. It was Gita, she was 4 batch SEA teacher who sent in my university. She want to meet me cause I have her packet from my friend.  After I give her pack
